Genesys/Java Application Architects or any call center exp for Travelers Insurance Location: Hartford, CT

The Contact Center Technologies Development Team writes application code for and in support of our Genesys CIM (Customer Interaction Management) Platform, which is the present and future basis for all customer service interaction with Travelers, regardless of channel (phone, email, chat request). Our software is used by both Travelers customers and employees and typically requires some of the latest and greatest technologies to be employed by the company. Our services are in constant demand and our tightly-knit, high-performance team is always an exciting place to work.
Plans at an operational level designing and developing technology solutions interfacing with appropriate customers, management and technical resources. Facilitates and/or participates in the design, development, and implementation of large, complex technology solutions supporting one or more business and/or technology areas. Develops and implements appropriate solutions that may involve multiple platforms, databases, software/hardware, technologies and tools. Strong ability to multi-task in an environment of changing priorities. May direct project staff in the development and implementation of technology solutions in support of business requirements
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Develops, codes, tests and debugs new software or enhancements to existing software within the Genesys framework.
Works with technical staff and business team to understand and analyze system changes. Reviews existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding, and tests/debugs programs.
Requires previous experience with telecommunications and related Call Center Technologies (IVR, Call Routing, Workforce Management, and Reporting).
Requires previous experience developing, testing, and deploying VoiceXML applications using Genesys Studio.
Requires previous experience in Genesys Framework and troubleshooting; has demonstrated experience supporting Genesys from a day to day operations perspective in a complex call center environment.
Requires previous experience in MS SQL Server, classic ASP, VBScript, .NET and Java programming.
Has strong programming, troubleshooting and analytical skills and be able to function independently with minimal supervision.
Experience with Genesys integration to Avaya PBX preferred.
Candidates with Genesys certifications preferred.
Evaluates systems specifications regarding customer requirements, transforming specifications into cost-effective, technically correct solutions
Prioritizes work and manages projects within established budget objectives and customer priorities
Responsible for establishing and managing to established quality control and security protocols
Provides the division, department and business area management with timely and accurate information regarding the status and performance of the assigned project(s)
Leverages technology to develop, redesign and/or implement optimal technology solutions
Builds, leverages, and maintains effective alliances across technical and business community
Interacts with customers to achieve efficient, effective results
Multi-tasks, prioritizes according to business priorities and production availability requirements
